Hello. My name is Derek Bender and I have student loans. Large student loans. When I started college I didn’t fully understand what my future financial situation would become. Monthly student loan payments, interest rates, consolidation, deferment; it all can be quite overwhelming. This is the reason I started this site, to help people who are confused by percentages, payment options, repayment schedules and late charges that loan companies and colleges can’t or won’t explain to people in plain, understandable terms. This site is dedicated to to bringing you news, resources and statistics about student loans, colleges and general finance management.
